Israel’s Interior Minister Aryeh Deri said Friday he would approve an overnight humanitarian request from Tlaib.
The decision comes a day after Israel announced it would prohibit Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Tlaib (D-Mich.) from entering for a four-day trip to the Palestinian territories scheduled to start on Sunday. It followed a rare intervention from President Trump, who urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Twitter to bar the lawmakers.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.
